My name is Morgwn Shaw and I am digital art science.
Both my upbringing and my career to date have brought me to this point, albeit via a circuitous route.
My father was an electrical engineer, so I grew up around computers, bashing away on an Apple IIe and some weird hybrid things that my dad built from whatever was lying around. A good indication of how this affected me is that I am self taught on Photoshop. The interface is intuitive to me because my learning began with Photoshop 1.0, in 1990.
My interest in computers extended to a passion for media – visual, printed, digital, the lot. This led me into a degree majoring in ‘Media’, but covering everything from journalism to film and video production and through to digital animation.
In terms of my profession, I began my career in London in the early ‘noughties. Through agencies big and small I honed my account and project management skills across projects including; branding, advertising, marketing, outdoor, trade-shows, launches, re-brands… I won’t go on. And I have executed these projects for brands from within all the major industry sectors; Luxury, FMCG, Pharmacuetical, Food and Beverage, Autmotive and Financial Services.
My broad experience across industry sectors and media channels mean that my approach is well-rounded, considered and realistic.
Digital is the most exciting and innovative channel, and I have the skills, experience and insight to guide any brand towards success online.
